Florida Workers’ Compensation Rate Decrease

Florida workers’ compensation rates will decrease an average of -6.9% next year. This is the tenth consecutive rate decrease recommended by NCCI and continues the yearly rate reductions of more than 79.5% over the last two decades.

The lower rates will be applied to policies as they are issued or renewed starting January 1, 2026.

The minimum payroll amounts for included owners/officers in 2026 will be:

  • Construction industry: $33,800 per included officer (same as 2025).
  • All other industries: $67,600 per included officer (up from $65,000 in 2025).
  • Sole proprietors/partners: $67,300 (up from $65,500 in 2025).
